Runnels students vie for math honors _lowres

Fifteen Runnels Junior and Senior High School students competed Jan. 9 in the Mu Alpha Theta Math Tournament at Catholic High.

Nearly 500 students participated in the annual competition.

Calculus AB team members winning first place in their division were Regan Dean, Clay Harned and Ross Stephens.

Also picking up first place in their division were Calculus BC team members Andrew Mitchell, Anna Morgan and Jesse Stephens.

In individual tests, Andrew Mitchell won first place in Calculus BC and Regan Dean finished third. Alex Matthews received honorable mention in Pre-Calculus.

Also competing for Runnels were Garrett Miller, Austin Stansbury, Lee Parker, Sean Parker, Ryan Lam, Thomas Worsham, Eric Huygues, Daniel Mayeaux and Alex Morgan.
