Creativity Month story, craft

River Center Branch Library is celebrating January’s designation as Creativity Month with an activity in the second-floor Children’s Room for ages 7 to 11.

From 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, kids can listen to a reading of “The Noisy Paintbox” by Barb Rosenstock, then create abstract paintings to take home.

Carver clothing swap

Looking for something new to you? Stop by Carver Branch Library’s meeting room 1 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday for a clothing swap.

Bring in your gently used, clean, adult men’s and women’s clothes and browse what others have offered. Hats, purses and wallets will be accepted, but no other accessories. All remaining items will be donated to Goodwill.

Acting lessons for teens

Teens ages 14 and older interested in acting on stage or film can learn techniques through games, scene work and monologues during a workshop with Greg Williams Jr. at Independence Park Theatre.
