Gwen Hamilton, the former director of education reform for the Baton Rouge Area Chamber, was recently hired as Mayor-President Kip Holden’s newest staff member.
On June 17, Hamilton sent an email to her contacts with new contact information.
She listed her new position as “Assistant Chief Administrative Officer” in the “Office of the Mayor-President.”
Hamilton worked at BRAC since 2008. Prior to that, she was the senior director of the Baton Rouge Area Foundation.
Hamilton will join Chief Administrative Officer John Carpenter and Assistant Chief Administrative Officer William Daniel as Holden’s top staff members.
Jim Llorens, another staffer, was recently hired to lead Southern University’s Baton Rouge campus.
