As expected, the state Board of Regents executive committee has signed off on plans for divvying up the Legislature-created WISE Fund. The full board will formally approve the plans at its December meeting. Members had authorized the executive committee to take the technical step of committee approval so schools could move ahead with the plans for the fund, which will infuse cash-strapped campuses with new money for high-demand fields.
