Big changes coming: Severe weather possible Tuesday before another blast of chilly air hits south Louisiana _lowres

The National Weather Service is expecting strong winds, heavy rainfall and possible tornadoes before a cold front hits southern Louisiana.


Severe weather changes are on the horizon for south Louisiana early this week, according to the National Weather Service.

Late Tuesday night and early Wednesday individual thunderstorms are predicted to hit the area before the expected cold front Tuesday, according to the NWS.

A squall line, a line of high winds and storms, could bring tornados, heavy rainfall, wind damage and may linger in the region through Wednesday, according to the NWS. The line is expected to move throughout south Louisiana Tuesday night.
