A pop-up dinner slated for this weekend has been rescheduled.
Chef Tom Ramsey’s Stäge pop-up dinner concept was set to come to Baton Rouge during Mardi Gras, but his event will take place Sat, Feb. 20.
Ramsey, a chef from Jackson, Miss., will team up with Doug Hosford of Fat Cow Burgers for a night of modern comfort food at Simple Joe Café at 3057 Government St. Tickets are $100 per person and available at stagebr-comfortfood.eventbrite.com.
The evening begins with cocktails at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m. and a meet-and-greet with the chefs after dinner.
The menu features a grilled oyster amuse-bouche with goat cheese and Vidalia onion soubise, followed by a Creole bouillabaisse. A thin-fried catfish and roasted rock hen will also be served. For the beef course, the chefs will prepare meatloaf with mac and cheese. Dessert is king cake bread pudding.
Cathead Vodka and Tin Roof Brewery will provided the spirits and beer, respectively.
If the Saturday night event sells out, Ramsey said he’ll add another night, Friday, Feb. 19.
