Bluebonnet Regional Branch Library offers something for all age groups this summer:

Knitting group

Need a new summertime activity? All ages are welcome to join the Bluebonnet Knitting Nook.

The first session, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, will cover some basic stitches, and participants will create a simple scarf.

Supplies are limited. Participants are encouraged to bring one pair of size 9 knitting needles and one skein of 4-ply yarn.

Children ages 9 to 11 should be accompanied by a responsible adult. Left-handed knitters are welcome.

Puppet show

Harvey Rabbit and Friends are back with puppetry and live action fun for children of all ages. The performance will be from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday in meeting room 1.

Playmakers summer tour

Playmakers of Baton Rouge’s annual summer tour brings “The Secret Stories of Science Superheroes” to children in meeting room 1 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday. Call (225) 763-2260.

Duct tape wallets

Teens can learn to make their own wallets out of duct tape from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in meeting room 3. All materials will be provided. Registration is required and limited to 15 participants. Call (225) 763-2270.
