Representatives from the Baton Rouge Recreation and Park Commission will host a presentation Thursday in Central to solicit input for a Central Community Park, according to a news release.

BREC proposes to build a community park in one of the three existing parks in Central. The presentation will explain the differences between a community park and a neighborhood park, the release says.

Members from BREC’s planning and engineering staff will be on hand to give the presentation and answer the public’s questions, the release says.

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at the Central Branch Library at 11260 Joor Road.
