“Women Leading the Way” is the theme for the 14th annual Women! A Week-Long Celebration organized by the Women’s Council of Greater Baton Rouge.

The weeklong celebration kicks off with a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 25 at the Baton Rouge Marriott, 5500 Hilton Ave.

Alexandra “Alex” Juan will be the keynote speaker.

Juan is a decorated Air Force veteran and the first female to be named executive director of the USS Kidd Veterans Museum.

She received her bachelor’s degree in organizational communication at Southeastern Louisiana University and her Public Affairs Officer Course certification from the Defense Information School located at Fort George Meade, Maryland.

The weeklong program list includes classes and activities to showcase local groups and nonprofit organizations.

Speakers will talk about a wide range of topics including personal growth, home and family, health and wellness and art.
