Parents’ Valentine’s Day out

Chelsea Johnson will share her inspirational poetry during a meet and greet from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Jones Creek Regional Branch Library. A book signing will follow the presentation.

25 years of Mardi Gras

Celebrate 25 years of Mardi Gras fun and revelry from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Jones Creek Regional Branch Library, where local photographer Claude Lindsey will share parade photos and memorabilia from various krewes and social clubs of New Orleans and from Baton Rouge’s Orion. A reception will follow.

Lindsey’s photo history of Mardi Gras will remain on display through February at the library.
