Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts in Natchitoches is searching for a new executive director to replace Patrick Widhalm, who will leave the school this summer after 15 years of service.
Widhalm has accepted a position at Ben Franklin High School in New Orleans.
LSMSA, a state-supported residential high school on the campus of Northwestern State University for high-achieving, highly motivated students in grades 10 through 12, was established in 1982 by the state Legislature. It recently was ranked the ninth best public school in the nation and the best high school in Louisiana in Niche’s 2016 Best Public High Schools in America.
