All East Baton Rouge city-parish government offices will be closed Thursday and Friday in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. The offices will close at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Garbage and recyclables will not be collected on Thursday, and will instead be collected at the next service day. For recyclable curbside service, residents will have their carts serviced Saturday.
The North Landfill will also be closed for commercial haulers and the general public Thursday, but will open again Friday.
CATS buses will not run on Thursday, but service will resume on Friday and run on a normal schedule.
Libraries in East Baton Rouge Parish will close early on Wednesday at 6 p.m. They will be closed all day Thursday, but reopen on Friday for regular hours.
East Baton Rouge public schools and Catholic schools are closed all week. The central offices for the East Baton Rouge school system and Diocese of Baton Rouge are closed Thursday and Friday.
In Ascension Parish, government and court offices will be closed both Thursday and Friday. This includes the library and Gonzales City Hall.
All Livingston Parish Government offices will be closed both Thursday and Friday.
West Baton Rouge Parish government offices are closed as of Wednesday at 11 a.m. and will remain closed Thursday and Friday. Garbage collection in the parish will not occur on Thursday, resuming on Monday.
Early voting for the Dec. 6 runoff election will not be held either Thursday or Friday, but will resume for a final day on Saturday at early voting locations.
