The Voices of Hope Gospel Singers of Baton Rouge is sponsoring “Standing Strong in Sickle Cell,” a gospel concert honoring families affected by sickle cell disease, at 7 p.m. Saturday at Nazarene Baptist Church, 1707 Spanish Town Road.

The concert will benefit the Baton Rouge Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation, now in its 42nd year of service to 11 parishes. Visit brscaf.org for information.

Flashlight Night

Flashlight Night at the Swamp gets underway Saturday at Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center. Park gates will remain open until 9 p.m. to allow visitors to explore the trails, enjoy live animal encounters and view a nature film.

Coed dodgeball league

Monday is the registration deadline for BREC’s coed dodgeball league, which plays at 7 p.m. every Wednesday beginning March 9 at Team Automotive Group Sportsplex at Perkins Road Community Park.
