Nearly 6,200 wreaths were put on graves at Port Hudson National Cemetery as part of the Wreaths Across America program. Volunteer participants include: Adult Groups: Daughters of the American Revolution, The Military Order of the World Wars, The ExxonMobil Cypress Bayou Annuitants Club, The USS KIDD and The Military Officers of America Association as well as retired Individuals of all Services: U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Coast Guard. Also retirees from BASF, ExxonMobil and Georgia Pacific. Youth Groups: Civil Air Patrol (Capital City) and Junior Reserve Officer Training Corp from the following schools; McKinley High School, Woodlawn High School, Broadmoor High School, Zachary High School and Scotlandville Magnet High School. The ceremony begins at the 11 a.m. Saturday Dec. 12, 2015.
