St. Michael High School students recently had the opportunity to speak with professionals from several career fields on March 10 during the school’s Career Day.

The Career Day program is an annual event at the school organized by the alumni and counseling offices to expose St. Michael students to various occupations and career paths, a news release said.

This year, the school welcomed more than 50 stakeholders from the community, including many alumni, that represented 45 occupations.

“This is a valuable opportunity for our students to be exposed to occupations and to ask questions to people currently working in their field of interest — including their likes and dislikes of their job, opportunities for advancement within the career, difficulties of balancing work and family, etc.,” said St. Michael Freshmen Counselor Lindsay Carlino.
