Six people were arrested for soliciting for prostitutes and two were arrested for soliciting for prostitution in Lafayette Friday and Saturday, according to a Lafayette Metro Narcotics Task Force news release.

The news release states the Lafayette Metro narcotics Task Force, Lafayette Police Department and Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Department Intelligence Unit targeted upscale escorts and clients in their undercover prostitution investigation.

In the Louisiana Revised Statute 14:83 soliciting for prostitutes is defined as, “soliciting, inviting, inducing, directing or transporting a person to any place with the intention of promoting prostitution.”

Two women were also detained and released on suspected prostitution, according to the release.

Those arrested and the counts against them:

Stanford Philavong, 27, soliciting for prostitutes.

Joshua Comeaux, 24, soliciting for prostitutes.

Warner Q. Borres, 40, soliciting for prostitutes.

Edgar Castillo, 35, soliciting for prostitutes.

Rolando Garza, 28, soliciting for prostitutes.

Ashley Green, 22, soliciting for prostitution.

Savannah Kovarik, 19, soliciting for position.

Jarvis Curley, 27, soliciting for prostitution.
