Amanda and Dr. Chad Domangue hosted Art for MDA, a night of art-based fundraising at their Mandeville home. Featured artist Julien Troullier pledged 20 percent from each piece sold to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Southeast Louisiana and its work funding research, a kids summer camp and other outreach programs. Chad’s cousin, local singer Valley Rich, performed. The night was dedicated to the late John Waguespack, whose struggle with muscular dystrophy and his accomplishments despite the disease inspired Chad to pursue medicine as a career. The couple has long supported MDA, beginning with their own wedding where guests brought contributions to MDA instead of gifts.
