Baton Rouge man indicted in man’s slaying during attempted robbery _lowres

A Baton Rouge man was indicted Wednesday on a second-degree murder charge in the shooting death last January of a 19-year-old man on Walnut Street.

Roderick White, 1516 Myrtle Walk, faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison if convicted as charged in the slaying of NaQuian Robinson on Jan. 6, 2015.

Police have said Robinson was the victim of a robbery attempt.

The case has been assigned to state District Judge Beau Higginbotham.
