A Walker man was arrested Thursday night after he was accused of breaking into a pharmacy and stealing $21,000 worth of drugs, according to an East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s office.
Deputies and members of the the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force caught 30-year-old Aaron J. Beyl, 22578 Walker South Road, and booked him with simple burglary of a pharmacy, theft and simple criminal damage to property, the release says.
According to reports, deputies responded to a burglary Thursday morning of the Rite Aid at 1029 Millerville Road.
The burglar entered the store through unknown means. Once inside the burglar disabled the alarm system and surveillance system, the release says.
Detectives were able to obtain a fingerprint from materials left behind by the burglar, the release says.
A deputy utilizing the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab was able to match the print with Beyl, the release says.
The U.S. Marshal’s Task Force apprehended Beyl at his girlfriend’s home in Denham Springs with the assistance of the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office, the release says.
