Capital Area CASA Association kicked off its 21st annual Casas for CASA playhouse fundraiser with the CASA Fiesta on July 19 at the Renaissance Hotel.

Capital Area CASA advocates for timely placement of abused children in East Baton Rouge Parish in permanent, safe and stable homes, a news release said.

The fiesta featured a silent auction, food by Caliente Mexican Craving, music by The Better Than Nobody Band and a photo booth provided by Flash & Geaux. Baton Rouge Coca-Cola Bottling Company and Mockler Beverage Company provided beverages.

The 2015 CASA playhouse is on display through Aug. 16 in the downstairs center court of the Mall of Louisiana. The playhouse, valued at $22,000, was designed by Lilliput Play Homes and will be assembled by Faulk and Meek General Contractors. Raffle tickets are $5 each and are available at casabr.org, at the mall or at the CASA office, 848 Louisiana Ave.

The fundraiser wraps up with CASA Kids Day, a free children’s safety and wellness fair, from noon to 5 p.m. Aug. 16, followed immediately by the playhouse giveaway.
