More than 400 East Baton Rouge Parish students received free eye exams and new glasses during OneSight’s Vision Clinic at the Instructional Resource Center on South Foster Drive from Feb. 15-19.

The clinic was hosted by OneSight, a vision care nonprofit sponsored and founded by Luxottica that has helped 9 million people since 1988, a news release said.

Pre-screened students received comprehensive exams onboard EyeLeen, OneSight’s mobile vision center and optical lab, from local doctors, technicians and teams from LensCrafters, Sunglass Hut, Pearle Vision, Target Optical, Sears Optical, EyeMed and other community partner volunteers.

The clinic was made possible through collaboration by public and private partners including the East Baton Rouge Parish School System, Health Centers in Schools and Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital.
