Fans experienced a unique cinematic and musical moment when the Marigny Opera House sold every seat for Shotgun Cinema’s showing of Carl Theodor Dreyer’s 1928 “The Passion of Joan of Arc.” Cellist Lori Goldstein performed an original score to accompany the film, screened on a vintage projector restored by technical director Travis Bird. The Aperture film series will present a curated program of avant-garde American films on the restored projector.
