Photo provided by Northlake-Mandeville Rotary - At a recent meeting of the Northlake-Mandeville Rotary Club, members welcomed the CEO of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra James Boyd, who discussed the LPO and how it serves the north shore with a variety of both paid and free concerts during its 32 week season. Founded in 1991, the LPO is the oldest orchestra in the U.S. that is musician governed and collaboratively operated. It has 67 full time musicians who play 120 performances a year.
