Sebastian Brumfield Mejia, a senior from Baton Rouge, was inducted into the French Honor Society at Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts on May 10.

Eligibility requirements include three semesters of French and maintaining an A average in all French courses and a B average overall.

The society’s motto is “L’homme qui sait deux langues en vaut deux,” or, “A man who knows two languages is worth two.”

The chapter is sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French and David Wood, principal lecturer of French at LSMSA.
