Former Gramercy police officer, St. John deputy arrested on second allegation of exposing a teen to the HIV virus _lowres

The St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office says it is searching for a 31-year-old man who was indicted Tuesday on charges of intentionally exposing a teenager to the virus that causes AIDS.

Barlon C. Cammon was indicted by St. James Parish for intentional exposure to HIV and felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile after he intentionally exposed a juvenile, aged 15 and 16 at the time, to AIDS, said Charlotte Guedry, spokeswoman for the 23rd Judicial District Attorney’s Office, in a news release.

No address was provided for Cammon, who also is known as “Rico.” The release also says the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating him for similar crimes.
