Runnels drama department to stage ‘Little Mermaid’ _lowres

Runnels School’s Junior/Senior High School drama department will present Disney’s musical fantasy, “The Little Mermaid,” for three performances Jan. 22-24.

The show is adapted from the 1989 Disney animated film based on the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen.

Featured cast members include Savannah Sanders as Ariel, Will Lurker as King Triton, Henry Forgey as Prince Eric, Grace Carruth-Taylor as sea witch Ursula, Micah Danos as Sebastian, Dino Pellissier as Flounder and Jarrett LaBonne as Scuttle.

Rounding out the cast are Noah Guillory, Garrett Miller, Daniel Mayeaux, Alex Matthews, Kayla Evans, Kyra Reeves, Sophie Edwards, Kaitlyn Landry, Natalia Tooraen, Taylor Koontz, McKenzie Mayeaux, Jena Bordelon, Emma Tooraen, Amber Lane, Madison Page, Madison Whitworth, Madeline Neyland, Rachel Yura, John Wiese, Alex Morgan, Landon Simpson, Andrew Schacht, Ben Holliday, Tyler Robbins, Brandon Kelfstrom, Kaylee Mancuso, Madisan Milam, Jackie Hinkle, Caroline Collins, Jenna Carballo, Abigayle Crissman, Nina Woodward, Ava Martin, Madaleine Alessi, Anna Somerville, Sophie LeBlanc, Haley Brassard, Camille Doucet, Sophie Torres and Hannah Cassano.

Theater program chair Neena Kelfstrom will direct, with musical direction by Jill Swetnam.

Performances will be at 7 p.m. Jan. 22-23 and 2 p.m. Jan. 24 in the Gladys Hague Runnels Theatre.
