A 57-year-old Baton Rouge man was convicted this week of sexually assaulting two young girls in 2011 and sentenced to 25 years in prison.
State District Judge Trudy White found Martin Dyson guilty Thursday on two counts of sexual battery.
The judge ordered Dyson’s prison time be served without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.
Prosecutor Sue Bernie said Friday that Dyson’s victims were 12 and 13 years old at the time of the incidents. The girls, now 16, testified at the trial, she said. Dyson also testified and denied any wrongdoing.
