Capital Area Court Appointed Special Advocate Association is in need of volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in foster care to reach safe, permanent homes.

Orientation sessions lasting 45 minutes will be held at 848 Louisiana Ave. at 1 p.m. Feb. 5, 10 a.m. Feb. 13, 12:30 p.m. Feb. 16, 6 p.m. Feb. 25 and noon Feb. 29.

USABMX members can race every Thursday and Sunday at Perkins Road Community Park, weather permitting. USABMX membership is required and available at the track; cost is $60 a year for membership and $10 for race fees.

Bluebonnet Regional Branch Library is celebrating National Puzzle Day from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday with a variety of puzzles for ages 3 to 11.

Pyu Kyu Kempo

Martial arts classes in Pyu Kyo Kempo are offered every Monday and/or Wednesday at Independence Community Park.
