Two Baton Rouge students at LSU recently have received scholarships.
Joseph LeJeune was awarded the LMOGA/Brooksher Scholarship in the amount of $1,000, named for the late Robert R. Brooksher Jr., an executive vice president of Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil and Gas Association and founding member of the LSU Center for Energy Studies’ Advisory Council, a news release said.
The scholarship is awarded to students interested in energy-related fields, particularly energy policy related to the oil and gas industry.
LeJeune is a mechanical engineering senior.
Tyler Parker received the David Olver Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $5,000, provided by the Gulf Coast Power Association emPOWERing Foundation.
The scholarship is awarded to students interested in future careers in the electric power industry.
Parker is an electrical engineering junior.
