Leaders With Vision is holding a forum Thursday on the Common Core debate.

The public is invited to the event at the Drusilla Place ballroom, 3482 Drusilla Lane.

The panelists are: Noel Hammatt, former member of the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board; Eric B. Lewis, state director for Louisiana Black Alliance for Educational Options and cofounder and managing partner of Sable International; Darius Montgomery, Baton Rouge director of Stand for Children; and Mercedes Schneider, a public school teacher and author.

After the presentations by the panel, the audience is invited to submit questions in writing.

Doors open at 11 a.m.; lunch will be served at 11:40 a.m.; and the program will begin at noon. Tickets are $20 for members and $25 for non-members.
