Firefighters extinguished a North Acadian West house fire on Friday night that left about $75,000 in total damages and no injuries, the Baton Rouge Fire Department said.

Firefighters arrived to 2701 North Acadian West around 9:55 p.m. on Friday and found the attic on fire, Baton Rouge Fire Department spokesman Curt Monte said.

The fire was contained to the attic, but the rest of the home suffered water damages, Monte said.

Four people lived in the home, and escaped before firefighters arrived. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, Monte said.
