LSU junior earns BASF $2,500 scholarship _lowres

LSU junior Giuliano “Jake” Campesi recently was among four engineering students selected to receive a $2,500 scholarship from BASF.

BASF grants are awarded to students who maintain excellent GPAs and are active in campus and community organizations, a news release said.

Campesi is a junior chemical engineering major and business administration minor. He is a graduate of Catholic High School in Baton Rouge and a National Merit Scholar. He has maintained a 4.0 GPA since fall 2014 and is a member of Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honorary Society and Phi Kappa Phi.

Campesi was awarded the LSU Flagship and Global Leaders scholarships. He has served as a research assistant in the Cain Department of Chemical Engineering and as an intern for NFR BioEnergy in White Castle, the release said.
