The Advocate’s Spotlight Classroom this week is Melissa Samson’s first-grade class at Parkview Baptist School. The students were asked:

  • If you could create a robot, what would you like it to do?
  • KATELYN ANDERSON: “I would like it to do my chores. Fold the laundry, wash the windows, things like that.”
  • LEXI BALSAM: “I would like it to get my fish food off the high shelf.”
  • AUDEN BOE: “I would like it to do my homework.”
  • HUDSON CALLENDER: “I would like it to keep my older brother away from me.”
  • ANNIE COCO: “I would like it to teach me how to roller skate.”
  • WREN CORLEY: “I would want it to teach me how to be a nurse. That’s what I want to be when I grow up.”
  • SEVIN DOMINGUE: “I would want it to read me the book ‘The Saturday Kittens.’ ”
  • JOBE FONTENOT: “I would like my robot to be able to get me a glass of water.”
  • PIERSON FUDGE: “I would like it to do all of my before-school and after-school chores.”
  • CARSON GALLAWAY: “I would like it to make my bed every morning.”
  • WILL GOZA: “I would like it to teach me math. Math is my favorite subject.”
  • GATLYN GRACE: “I would like it to make baseball bedding for my room.”
  • REID KIGER: “I would like it to teach me how to type fast on my computer.”
  • JOHN LEE: “I would like it to give me a bubble gum flavor snow cone.”
  • OLIVIA LOWREY: “I would like it to teach me how to fish.”
