Jones Creek Road south of Ferrell Avenue, in southeast Baton Rouge, will be closed for the weekend for workers to install a sewer line, city-parish officials announced.
The stretch of Jones Creek Road will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday, although businesses along that portion of Jones Creek will remain open.
City-parish leaders say drivers should use the detour of Tiger Bend Road to Stumberg Lane to Coursey Boulevard.
Message boards will alert drivers that Jones Creek is closed.
Extensive sewer work to Jones Creek has forced the road to close for multiple weekends in the past few months.
