Downtown Baton Rouge is now home to Cordon Rouge Bistro.
The restaurant has opened in its new location at 334 Third St., and is now serving lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
General manager Matt Harrison said the restaurant will start rolling out its breakfast, dinner and weekend brunch menus in the coming weeks, once the restaurant has its staff in place.
Breakfast will be served 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Saturday. Dinner hours will be 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday-Saturday. A brunch menu will be offered on Saturday and Sunday.
The restaurant started around 2012 in the old Courtyard Gifts on Arnold Lane. However, Harrison said Cordon Rouge had outgrown that space and needed a bigger kitchen.
Cordon Rouge’s menu features French-inspired dishes, sourcing as many local ingredients as possible.
Harrison said, so far, the restaurant’s best seller has been a duck burger, served on a housemade bun with a side of duck fat fries and blueberry ketchup.
