BREC’s Open House Series for Juniors is available every Saturday through May 14 at Capital One Tennis Center at City-Brooks Community Park.
Kids will learn to play tennis in sessions from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. for ages 6 to 10 or 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for ages 11 to 16. Equipment and racquets are provided. Participants should bring a water bottle and dress to sweat.

Introduction to Tumblr
Teens and adults interested in getting started on the Tumblr social network can pick up the basics from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bluebonnet Regional Branch Library’s meeting room 2.
Learn to create a blog and search for friends who are already on Tumblr, how to post on your blog and how to install multimedia and other parts.
The first season of “Downton Abbey” is the January topic of the Binge-Watch Club for adults, which meets from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bluebonnet Regional Branch Library.
The British television series focuses on the people in and around the Crawley family shortly before World War I.
Registration is not required. Light refreshments will be served.
Intermediate Word 2010
Participants in the prior Introduction to Word class at Bluebonnet Regional Branch Library are welcome to come back for an intermediate session from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 21 in meeting room 2.
The workshop will begin with a brief review of the introduction class. All equipment will be supplied.
High Five Book Club
Bluebonnet Regional Branch Library’s High Five Book Club for children ages 9 to 11 meets from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Jan. 21 in meeting room 3. You must be a registered member to attend.
Members will share information on a biography from the “Who Was” series, then create a group poster and design a commemorative coin or medal.
