The Louisiana Book Festival announced its WordShops 2014 schedule.

Set for Oct. 31 at the State Library of Louisiana and the Capitol Park Museum, the WordShops feature local and national faculty teaching classes designed to emphasize the craft of writing.

Among the offerings are “Finding the Story” by Jill McCorkle, $85 for the full day; “Breaking the Rules: A Teen Workshop for the Creativey Hyperactive” by Mark Dunn, $25 for the morning; “You Can Do a Graphic Novel” by Barbara Slate, $45 for the morning; “Making Poems Out of Your Own Experience” by Ava Leavell Haymon, $45 for the afternoon; “The Lovely Bones: On Organzing Your Research and Writing” by Earl Swift, $45 for the afternoon.

Two half-day, $45 sessions can be purchased for $85.
