Two teenagers booked on 12 counts of simple burglary of unlocked vehicles in the Three Lakes Subdivision were ordered held on $250,000 bail each after their arrests Saturday, Walker police reported Monday.

An officer was on patrol in the neighborhood about 3:15 a.m. when he saw Connor Crenshaw, 17, of Baton Rouge, cross Three Lakes Drive and hide behind a parked car, Walker police Capt. John Sharp said in a news release.

Crenshaw told the officer he was in the neighborhood with John Anderson, 17, of Denham Springs, “decorating the home of an acquaintance with toilet paper,” Sharp said.

The teens eventually confessed to breaking into vehicles and stealing valuables, including cash and jewelry. They were booked on 12 counts of simple burglary.

Crenshaw was released after posting bond, Sharp said. Anderson remained in jail as of Monday.
