It's about to get colder.

The weekend forecast calls for even cooler weather, with temperatures ultimately approaching 32 degrees Sunday night in the Baton Rouge area and 40 degrees in the New Orleans area.

Sunday’s daytime high? Mid-50s.

Saturday brings partly cloudy skies and a 30 percent chance of showers from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. A high around 70 degrees is forecast, with temperatures dropping to 39 Saturday night in the Baton Rouge area and 47 degrees in the New Orleans area.
