Injured East Baton Rouge deputy Nick Tullier this week received gifts from a New Orleans bakery and one of his favorite bands -- and in a welcome moment of normalcy, a haircut from his fiance.

Meanwhile, his parents received a very special gift from Louisiana artist JaNiece Chitty Cefalu, a portrait of Nick that she presented to them on Wednesday.

According to the Nick Tullier Strong Facebook page, run by Nick's dad, James, Tullier recently received a package from the Zac Brown Band that included a signed poster, a signed album cover and a picture.

Family members reached out to the band to tell members how their music is being used in therapy sessions for Nick, who is a big fan.

Another gift, a cream cheese King Cake, arrived from Manny Randazzo King Cakes in New Orleans, sent by an anonymous donor.

Also, a photo shows Nick Tullier getting a haircut from fiance Danielle Alyse Mcnicoll, a hair stylist. James Tullier says in his post that Mcnicoll is key figure in Nick Tullier's care. "Danielle is God sent, for sure," he says.
