LA Boilers has leased a 4,000-square-foot restaurant building at 7132 Florida Blvd. and hopes to open its third Baton Rouge location there by Nov. 1.
Shane Billiot, a partner and owner of LA Boilers, said the new location will have a full kitchen, which will allow the restaurant to offer more than live and boiled crawfish.
“We’re expanding our menu,” Billiot said. The plans are to offer classic south Louisiana dishes such as red beans and rice, po-boys and jambalaya. LA Boilers may even have an oyster bar in the Florida location and sell raw and chargrilled oysters, Billiot said.
LA Boilers has been in business for 12 years and has locations on O’Neal Lane and on Perkins Road.
Grey Hammett III, who handles commercial sales and leasing for Mike Falgoust & Associates, brokered the deal. He said the location, near Lobdell Drive and across from Bon Carré Business Center, will help LA Boilers bring in more diners.
“They’ll be able to reach the Baton Rouge City Police, the Sheriff’s Department, BRCC and Bon Carré,” Hammett said. “It’s a great location for them.”
