Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers is entering the California market with the construction of a restaurant in Costa Mesa.

The restaurant will employ between 50 and 60 people and is slated to open in the fall.

Founded by Todd Graves in 1996 in Baton Rouge, the chain has more than 225 restaurants in 18 states with multiple restaurants under construction.

Raising Cane’s is known for its yellow Labrador mascot and its fresh, never-frozen chicken fingers served with a secret-recipe sauce, crinkle-cut fries, coleslaw and Texas toast, along with sweet tea or fresh-squeezed lemonade.
