Beard Construction Group LLC in Port Allen has named Chris Black as director of business development and Dallas Weems as assistant corporate safety director.

Black was business development manager for Cajun Deep Foundations LLC. Weems was safety compliance specialist for Crosstex Energy Services.

Covalent Logic has named Christina Stephens as senior public relations manager, Daniel Duvic as art director and Kishia Grayson as senior account manager.

Stephens was director of public affairs at the Louisiana Housing Corp. and previously communications director for the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness and the state Department of Health and Hospitals. Duvic was creative director of Marucci Sports. Grayson was public relations manager for AlwaysCare Benefits/Starmount Life Insurance in Baton Rouge.

Ken Wells has been named president of the International Association of Geophysical Contractors in Houston.

Wells is the founder of Lifeline Strategies, a safety and regulatory management consulting company in New Orleans serving the oil and gas industry.

Les Calvin has been named operations manager of both New Orleans franchises of Two Men and A Truck.

He was customer service representative.

Lisa H. Nice, of Post Architects in Baton Rouge, has been elected 2015 president of the Louisiana chapter of the American Institute of Architects board of directors.
