Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center has earned certification of both its cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation programs from the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. The process requires extensive documentation of the program’s practices. Certification is valid for three years.

James M. Redwine, of Motors Liquidation Co., has been selected to receive the Award for Excellence in Environmental, Energy and Resources Stewardship from the American Bar Association’s section of environmental, energy and resources.

OxyChem’s Geismar chemical plant has achieved Star status within the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Voluntary Protection Program. The program recognizes facilities that implement comprehensive and effective safety and health programs and perform with injury rates lower than their peers. Qualifying facilities must submit an application and undergo an onsite evaluation by a team of safety and health professionals.
