Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, which cooks its pies in coal-fired brick ovens, is set to open a location at the Mall of Louisiana.

The restaurant will go into a space in The Boulevard, across from h.h. gregg, that had been occupied by Sake Cafe, said Tony Stephens, the mall’s general manager. Stephens referred all questions about the restaurant’s opening date to Grimaldi’s officials, who did not respond before deadline.

Grimaldi’s was founded in New York City. The chain has grown to include more than 40 locations across the South and West. This will be the first Grimaldi’s in Louisiana.
