Free workshops designed to help companies build and grow their online presence will be held in Baton Rouge Monday.
The “Get Your Business Online” events will be held at 8:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the LSU Museum of Art in the Shaw Center downtown.
The workshops are sponsored by the Louisiana Small Business Development Center and Google.
U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La., who chairs the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, and Adam Knapp, president and CEO of the Baton Rouge Area Chamber, will speak before the first workshop.
This is the first Get Your Business Online session that has been held in Baton Rouge; one was held in Lafayette last year. Participants get training on how to build a website, use Google’s tools for businesses and optimize the site for Google searches. All participants will get a free website and free web hosting for a year.
Registration for the first two Monday sessions are closed, but for more information or to sign up for the afternoon workshop, go to www.LouisianaGetOnline.com.
