Flow-Chem Technologies LLC, a specialty oilfield chemical provider based in Rayne, has been acquired by Mumbai, India-based Dorf Ketal Chemicals India Private Ltd.
The price was not disclosed.
Flow-Chem has blending facilities in Rayne and Pleasonton, Texas, and multiple warehouses. The company serves clients in the Gulf of Mexico and U.S. onshore market. The company’s website says falling commodity prices have severely impacted its customers and everyone in the oil and gas industry.
Dork Fetal is a privately owned specialty chemicals firm that serves the refining, petrochemical and oil and gas industries.
Dorf Ketal founder and director Subodh Menon said Flow-Chem’s contacts will allow Dorf Ketal to accelerate the introduction of its technologies into the U.S. exploration and production market.
Dork Ketal Oilfield Chemicals President David Johnson said Flow-Chem’s oilfield production and drilling products portfolio will be combined with Dorf Ketal’s, now used offshore Brazil, to improve the capabilities of both companies.
