The Chick-fil-A at 7055 Siegen Lane will be closed for about a month to undergo an extensive remodeling.

The restaurant will close on May 1 to allow for the work, which involves expanding the kitchen and updating the decor, said Anne Lerner, a Chick-fil-A spokeswoman. The tentative reopening date is sometime during the first week of June. According to a building permit from the city-parish Public Works Inspection Division, the value of the remodeling is $785,000.

The Siegen location opened in 2002 and is the oldest freestanding Chick-fil-A in Baton Rouge. A renovation of the Millerville Road Chick-fil-A was completed in late March.
