New Orleans-based real estate development firm KFK Group and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. announced an agreement to open a Starwood-managed Westin hotel in downtown Dallas.
The Westin Downtown Dallas will open by December. Its 323 rooms will include 21 suites. The hotel also will feature a restaurant, bar, 27,000 square feet of meeting space, conference rooms, a ballroom and an indoor pool.
The new hotel will be part of One Main Complex, a lifestyle development set inside a 1 million-square-foot building. The development also will include 50,000 square feet of retail space, 600,000 square feet of Class A office space and underground parking.
KFK and its sister company, Southeast Restaurant Group, are based in New Orleans. KFK employs about 2,000 people and owns and operates a portfolio that includes hotels, multi-family residential, restaurants, office and financial and real estate-related holdings.
