Century Rehabilitation has purchased the old Britton & Koontz/Home Bank building on Bluebonnet Boulevard and plans to move its offices there next month.

RJ & Associates LLC, a corporation set up by Richard Pellerin, Century president and CEO, bought the building at 4703 Bluebonnet Blvd. for $755,000. The seller was Home Bank of Lafayette, which acquired Mississippi-based B&K Bank in 2013.

Century currently has its Louisiana corporate offices at 8280 YMCA Plaza Drive. The Dallas-based company provides therapy services to hundreds of skilled nursing facilities in Louisiana and Texas.

Ashley Bateman, a spokeswoman for Century, said the company needs more space in its corporate offices. The Bluebonnet property is about 4,100 square feet; Century currently occupies 2,142 square feet.

Century has 10 office employees in Baton Rouge. The move to the new location should happen by mid-August, Bateman said.

Mark Hebert of Kurz & Hebert Commercial Real Estate represented Century, while George Kurz of Kurz & Hebert represented Home Bank. “It was a quick deal,” Hebert said. “They were ready to roll in.”
